Requiring Trash Cans and Medical Marijuana protections - City Council week of Sept. 2nd
Our First Post!
Here is what the City Council will be covering in this week’s standing committee meeting. Everything below is still being debated, so there is still time to inform the council members about where city residents stand on these issues.
Note: As we ramp up informup.org, we will likely start by emailing council members your survey responses. Once we reach a critical mass (maybe 50 respondents?), I’ll begin reading survey results during the public comment period in the following City Council meeting. So, please fill out the survey!
Here’s what’s on the docket for this week:
- New Citations if Your Trash Isn’t in a Can ($35 for violating proposed rules)
- Adding Medical Marijuana Users to the City’s Discrimination Policy
- Zoning Change to Allow for Some Very High-Density Housing on Negley North of Penn Avenue
